Understand your body. And where you really stand.

Find out exactly how your body is performing. With professional exercise gas analysis, we measure your endurance, fat burning, training zones, and recovery capacity—for more targeted and effective training.

Are you asking yourself questions like:
Why am I not getting fitter even though I work out regularly?
What heart rate range should I aim for to reach my goals faster?
How can I burn the most fat while working out?
Am I working out too hard or not efficiently enough?
Why isn't my endurance improving much even though I work out regularly?

An Breath Metabolic Analysis can provide you with initial answers

It shows how well your body is really regulated, regenerated and supplied with energy.

Based on your results, you can immediately see where you are — and what you need. Perhaps more regeneration. Maybe more weight training. Perhaps just a small impulse to adjust your training or diet. This allows you to take the next steps in a targeted and self-determined manner — for real progress that suits you.

Everything is visible in the Uvida app — transparent, understandable and individual.

Health Test FAQ

What is a spiroergometry?

Spiroergometry is the most precise method for analyzing your endurance capacity. During a controlled exercise test, we measure how efficiently your body takes in, processes, and uses oxygen to produce energy by analyzing your exhaled air.

Who is the Health Test intended for?

The Health Test is suitable for beginners, recreational athletes, ambitious endurance athletes, and anyone who wants to better understand their fitness, performance, and training management.

Do I need to be athletic to take the test?

No. The exercise intensity is individually tailored to your fitness level. The test is suitable for both beginners and experienced athletes.

How long does the test take?

The activity test takes about 30 minutes. Including the pre- and post-test consultations, you should plan for about 60 minutes in total.

On which machine is the test being conducted?

Currently, it’s done exclusively on a treadmill.

Is the breathing mask uncomfortable?

The breathing mask fits snugly against your face so that the measurements can be recorded accurately. After a short adjustment period, most participants find it comfortable.

How should I prepare for the test?

If possible, avoid intense workouts for 24 hours beforehand. Come to your appointment well-rested and avoid heavy meals in the two to three hours before the test.

Can I eat or drink anything before the test?

Light meals are generally acceptable. You should avoid large or very fatty meals shortly before the test. It is recommended that you drink plenty of water.

What is measured during spiroergometry?

Among other things, the test analyzes your VO₂max, individual training zones, anaerobic threshold, FATmax, ventilatory thresholds, heart rate response, and your maximum performance capacity.

What is VO₂max?

VO₂max describes the maximum amount of oxygen your body can take in and utilize during physical exertion. It is considered one of the most important indicators of endurance performance.

What is FATmax?

FATmax refers to the intensity range in which your body burns the most fat per unit of time. This information helps you tailor your training specifically to your goals.

What is the individual anaerobic threshold?

The individual anaerobic threshold describes the exercise intensity that you can sustain over the long term without a significant increase in fatigue. It is an important reference value for training planning.

When will I receive my results?

Within 48 hours of your appointment, you’ll receive your personalized evaluation via email.

Will I receive specific training recommendations?

Yes. Your results are interpreted individually and supplemented with recommendations so you can tailor your training more effectively.

Can I use the results with my sports watch?

Yes. The determined heart rate ranges and training zones can be saved in most sports watches and training apps.

How often should I run a health test?

Many athletes repeat the test every three to six months to objectively assess their training progress and readjust their training zones.

When is the Health Test Double worth it?

The Health Test Double is especially useful if you want to track your training progress. By directly comparing your initial test and retest, you can see exactly how your performance has improved.

Is there an expiration date for the retest?

No. You decide for yourself when you’d like to schedule your second appointment.

Can I take the test even if I'm just starting to train?

Yes. For beginners in particular, the test provides a valuable foundation for training within the appropriate intensity ranges right from the start.

Can spiroergometry detect health problems?

The Health Test is designed for performance assessment and training guidance. It is not a substitute for a medical examination or diagnosis.
